Nau mai hoki mai ki Te Whare Kōrero, 2026!! 😍

Our Kaihāpai Reo, Jaye, is very excited to be doing things a little differently this year. Te Whare Kōrero will now be moving forward in a rotating roster, so there’s a little bit of everything for everyone - games, singing, grammar, and more!

In Wiki Kēmu, we will be playing games to strengtehn our kōrero-ā-waha (spoken reo) and to get to know each other

In Wiki Wete Reo we will be learning and applying sentence structure, linguistic, and grammatical concepts

In Wiki Waiata & Karakia we will learn new karakia and waiata, practicing and strengthening our knowledge of familiar ones too

In Wiki Mauri where a block is four weeks long, we will follow the vibes; this might include te reo movie nights, wānanga on kaupapa chosen by the rōpū, reflection space, and outings.

Dates for our kaupapa are provided for 2026: we will run in 3-4 week blocks with 1 or 2 weeks off in between (depending on what time of the school term it is). These dates are Wednesday evenings, 6-8:30pm between:

Feb 11th to Mar 4th

Mar 18th to Apr 1st

Apr 22nd to May 13th

May 27th to June 10th

June 24th to July 1st

July 29th to Aug 19th

Sept 2nd to Sept 23rd

Oct 14th to Oct 28th

Ahakoa he kākā wahanui i te reo Māori, he kererū ngū rānei, nau mai, haere mai, hoki mai rā!
